Sob sob. Lijie just passed my family my korkor's recording of his wedding..like finally. Wah i look at the date on the tape - 310503- that was a very very long time ago!

Anyway coming back to the sob sob part. It just serves as a bitter reminder that i wasn't there at my own korkor's tea ceremony!!! I didn't get to pour tea for my elders (ok ya as if i really enjoy doing that but still), i didn't get to see my brother off from our hse after spending so many years chionging and seeing who got to the toilet first, and the best part --i wasn't in any of the family wedding photos. My heart still pain.

And what was i doing on that particular day two years ago? A stupid gp exam. Wah lau.

Captured on tape recording:

Cousin: where's eunice ah?
sister: oh eunice is having a gp exam right now...............

And that, was the only sign that i existed.

I still harbour a big grudge against the xp for not letting me off that paper. And an even bigger grudge against myself for not defying her and skipping it. Afterall, looking 10 years down the road, which would i treasure more? A stupid gp grade, or the memory of seeing your sibling off on his wedding morn? -_-

Oh well. It could've been worse. My cousin joel spent his brother's wedding day digging trenches.

:)

Im gonna need a whole lot of faith to believe that this will work. :( Driving test's next tues, most recent lesson was yesterday and i got a whopping FORTY points. Woohoo. This means i've only 3 more lessons to make sure my points don't overshoot twenty.

Ohh i promise i'll be perfectly safe on the roads! Ask nathan. I always scold him or dig his ribcage if he speeds up. Please please pretty please let me have that nice new young examiner fulvia got and let me pass. Don't let me have the nasty grouchy old ones who hate small little girls like me (18 and 19 are considered SMALL), who deliberately mislead you by giving you wrong directions just to see if you're alert, who deliberately DRAW on their score sheets just to make you think they're marking you down AND make you feel even more nervous. Brr.

Ok. Take a deep breath. Don't stress don't stress. You don't want another pimple outbreak eunice.

:(

And for your own good, please don't come and tell me to my face that i'm a horrible driver, even if it's true. Otherwise i won't give you a lift when i get my license..say after my 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th try. =p

Don't laugh.

It happened to my future bro-in-law.

Oh why am i cursing myself. Heeeelp i don't wanna be dependent on nathan and always have him fetch me around...i wanna fetch him around too!! Oops women's liberation front arriving a little too late. Haha.

Today was my parents' 30th wedding aniversary. :) At times like this you feel really really old...but i bet my sis would be feeling even older, haha!

Anyway, just in case you guys have parents approaching the bronze, silver or gold mark (namely the 10th 25th and 50th year), i'll share what we did. Heh.

My korkor, cheche, christine, meng jet and i put our money together and sent them on a super ultra nice pre-paid dinner at hotel excelsior! Actually we were thinking of sponsoring a romantic night at swissotel or sth but it wasn't tt practical cos my dad has to work tmr :( And while they were happily eating, christine korkor and mengjet came home and we took out their bedsheets, put on new PINK and RED ones, arranged two full-budded roses in a crystal vase right in the centre, and sprinkled rose petals over the cover. Wah talk about the closest substitute for a hotel room hehehe. Nathan came over to join in the fun too and we all talked about hiding in the parents' toilet with the house all darkdark and how when they'd walk into the room and spot the rose-covered bed we'd all jump out of the toilet yelling 'surprise!'

Nahh. Only in fairytales do plans go 100% smoothly.

First, we had no way of telling exactly when parents would come home (cos we need time to switch off all the lights mah). So my kor, che and i took three separate turns to call them up to spotcheck their progress throughout the night. My kor asked whether dinner had started, my che asked whether dinner was nice, i asked in a sulky voice what time they were coming back cos i was home alone. I think by the time i called my dad was starting to get irritated! His children so irritating, spoil his romantic night out w my mum hehe.

Next, came the irritating bit. I'd a sudden urge to go toilet and so guess WHAT. At that very crucial moment where i had to tinkle, the you-know-whos came back. My first thought when i came out of the toilet was 'eh why so quiet' then... 'oh shit! they came home already......argh!!' So meantime, the parents walked into the room and the 'surprise...!' came out. Haha all of them didn't even have time to switch off the lights and fans la. All (excluding me :( ) just made a mad dash to the master toilet the moment they heard the keys jingling outside the door.

So the parents were happily surprised, all were happy and we celebrated with wine and cake. Haha. The end.

A toilet bowl flushed water right in my face today. Yes. It did. I had my head bent right over the bowl all ready to puke, not realising of course that it came with a somewhat overly sensitive sensor.

:(

Anyway i came back from church camp last sat all armed with...abercrombie!! Yay yay yay. My precious nus wardrobe. See la, nic has influenced me into becoming such a materialistic cow. Heh i wasn't like this for the better half of my life, namely, the past eighteen years. =p Anyway what pastor erick taught, i absorbed only half as much as what i did during last year's camp. To me it seemed more like a seminar on how to push yourself to the m7 level, but it worked for alot of them there so im not saying it was bad or anything. =p Oh wells, probably becos of all the distractions bangkok offers to the average consumer i couldn't focus much. I have short attention span heh. Maybe they should try holding church camp in a remote place next year, say, Batu Pahat. Nehh..

I've also realised that i should bring a personal face towel too in future when i travel. Somehow my face reacts aversely to hotel ones and expresses its protests in pimple eruptions. Bahh. I've waited seven months in vain for my flawless complexion to come. Come......my precious................................ :(

Speaking of which...! A hair and beauty salon just opened! and it's located itself just beside my provision shop. How convenient. :) First time i ever heard of a salon in a condo though. Let's see how long it'll last haha.

I wish too that nus would make things a little easier for all freshmen out there. I'm killing my brains trying to remember all the dates we hafta get back for all the registration stuff, med examination etc. Wah. In the end i resorted to making out notes, point-form, of all the impt stuff and highlighting them. Plus so many orientation camps to choose from! If there's anything to go by, the most hip and happening one seems to be the one organised by the students' union, so says nic. There's even a night set aside during the camp for clubbing ok! Hahaha. It's just so sad my driving test falls on the same day it starts sigh.

Should i be a generous soul and give the piano to my sis when she gets married this year end? I won't have any piano to play then.. :( but again it isn't as if i play that often and besides, she makes much more beautiful music than me anyway. Better start sourcing for cheap electric pianos. Sigh.

Oh and let me announce again: im gonna be an aunty soon!! In october yay! Anna is going to be a gorgeous girl and is going to look like christine and not inherit any of the tan family's chubby cheeks or big oily nose. Even if God does decide to let her have those ugh features i'll love her as much though. She will still be my gorgeous niece ok. Cheche and i bought her a beautiful pink baby quilt in bangkok. :)

I wish i could hang on to this moment and just stay....nineteen forever.

Omg and watching two good movies two days in a row rocked. Mr and Mrs Smith on tues night brought back all the fluttery feelings whenever brad pitt appeared on screen. Too bad i'd to repress all the drool cos nat was beside me haha. Please don't say i was being unfaithful cos nat was equally mesmerised by angelina jolie too. (: Batman Begins rocked too and my korkor said it was the best superhero movie he'd ever seen. Christian bale is cute..but brad pitt is HOT.

You know what was the world's most lethal movie pairing ever though? Brad Pitt + Tom Cruise in An Interview with a Vampire. Double whammy to knock the socks off any girl. Yes even those stupid jap knee length bobby ones. Drooldrooldrool. Ok out.
